After the meal and the movie, I press the little pillow against the outer wall and close my eyes. I fall asleep quickly. For me, I even sleep well. I manage to get a few one-hour naps. Before I realize it, the lights go on again for breakfast. Well, breakfast. It’s already one o’clock in the afternoon in the Netherlands. Through the clouds, I follow the buildings in the Netherlands. I see the Maasvlakte and the North Sea coast. Near Katwijk, the plane makes a turn. This gives me a perfect view of my house. It’s still there. More than half an hour ahead of schedule, the KLM plane lands at Schiphol. At the baggage claim, I say goodbye to all the fellow travelers. I continue my journey home by train.
