Soon the trail veers away from the Wolf Gorge. We decide to keep following the path and explore the Wolf Gorge on the way back—it’ll be nicer to save the most scenic part for the end. We follow the trail toward the Perekop. We walk past stunning rock formations that at times loom dangerously over the path. A small field mouse watches us in its own calm way and doesn’t flinch as we try to photograph it from less than a meter away. The Perekop is a large rock with a narrow, meter-wide crevice running through it. Inside the crevice, a steep staircase has been carved out. At the top, a metal ladder allows access to the top of the rock. From about thirty meters up, there’s a beautiful view. We climb down the same way and continue on trail B1 toward the Hohlley cave.
A few photos from a camping trip through Luxembourg and France. We visited Vianden, Luxembourg City, and Le Puy in France.
