At ten twenty, flight UL101 takes off toward the Maldives. A flight of one hour and ten minutes. As I approach the capital Malé, I see various islands scattered across the Indian Ocean. During landing, it feels as though the plane is about to land on water. Only at the last moment does land appear. In the distance, I can also see the capital. Malé is located on the neighboring island, which is completely built up. In front of the airport building, I board a speedboat, and in just under half an hour, I reach Paradise Island. At the reception, a steward is waiting for me. She explains how everything works and escorts me to a golf cart. The driver takes me and my luggage to my water villa. When he stops at the jetty in front of my villa, I see a beautiful, spacious overwater bungalow. On the terrace: a mattress, loungers, and an outdoor tub. There's even a ladder leading directly into the sea. What a stunning environment.
