At the end of the Via Dolorosa, I arrive at the Wailing Wall. The Wailing Wall is located on the western side of the Temple Mount. Here, Jews lamented that their temple on the mount was completely destroyed. Orthodox Jews still consider this place the most sacred of all. Upon entering the Wailing Wall area, I’m given a kippah. According to Jewish tradition, men are required to cover their heads. As I approach the wall, I see several Orthodox Jews praying against it. I walk into Wilson’s Arch on the side — an old covered section on the northern part of the Wailing Wall. Here too, people are praying intensely. It's a special experience to be here and a memorable end to my visit to Jerusalem.
