India - Worn prayer flags at sunset in Leh

Shortly after midnight, I board flight KL872 to Amsterdam. As soon as the plane has taken off, I order a glass of wine. A delight after four weeks. After that, I quickly close my eyes. I don’t manage to sleep much during the night; memories of the trip keep coming back regularly. After just over seven hours, the plane enters Dutch airspace again. At half past five, Dutch time, the landing begins. I arrive at Schiphol Airport slightly earlier than planned. Even passport control and baggage claim go unexpectedly quickly. Within twenty minutes of landing, I am outside with my luggage. I am home again!
