Travelogue To the Far North of Europe

July 126 2017 (26 days)

Netherlands > On the way home

Dag 26 - Wednesday, July 26, 2017

The last day has arrived. For the final time, we enjoy a good breakfast. The distance for today is a little over six hundred kilometers. Just before Hamburg, we enter roadwork zones. For dozens of kilometers, the road is being renewed. The speed is limited to sixty kilometers per hour. Traffic often moves slower on the narrow lanes. Near Bremen, we take a short break to refuel and eat a sandwich. After that, we head toward the Netherlands. Around three o’clock in the afternoon, we re-enter the Netherlands. A little late for our liking, as we hit the evening rush hour around Amsterdam. However, it is holiday season, and without any traffic jams, we drive safely into Voorhout. After 9,000 kilometers, we are safely back home.
