Georgia > Flight to the Netherlands

When I wake up, it’s time to pack the luggage for the last time. I carefully remove the liquids from my carry-on. At half past eight, we leave the hotel. By bus, we leave Tbilisi for the last time. The city is much quieter than yesterday, even though the route is the same. After half an hour, we get off at Tbilisi International Airport. I check in my luggage and pass through the carry-on security check and customs. The plane is just arriving—a good sign, as it means we will depart on time. At exactly eleven o’clock, the plane leaves the gate and takes off toward Istanbul. We have plenty of time for our connection there, as we need to go from pier D to pier B—a considerable walk. The second flight also departs on time, and around five o’clock, we arrive back in the Netherlands.
