Israel - Firaz drives the bus through Israel

The last day has arrived. I pack my luggage and prepare my daypack for the flight. During breakfast I am also asked whether I already have the tip ready. Sigh! I would rather wait until the guide and the driver are together. From Kibbutz Almog it is about a four-hour drive to Ovda Airport near Eilat. Viraz drives the bus onto the road for the last time. We follow the shores of the Dead Sea. After that, the landscape quickly becomes barer and barer. I drive back into the Negev Desert. As far as I can see, there is only sand and rocks. We also encounter the bus of the other Corendon travel group. While overtaking their bus, Viraz overlooks an oncoming vehicle. Thanks to the other bus slamming on the brakes, the situation ends without an accident. A side benefit is that we now arrive first at the coffee shop. In the end, the staff turn out to be quick and efficient, so everyone is soon enjoying their coffee. Around 12:30 I arrive at Ovda Airport. In the departure hall a strict security check awaits. Where have I been? Have I accepted any gifts and where have I stayed? Several suitcases in front of and behind me have to be opened. I pass through without further extra checks. In the departure hall I wait until the Corendon plane arrives. Shortly after three o’clock the plane takes off and I head towards Amsterdam.
