Philippines > Enjoying life on board

At one o’clock in the morning, the Costa Serena sets sail. We are on our way to the Philippines. While I am already in bed, I feel the ship start to move. In the morning we can take it easy. We have a late breakfast and join the buffet at nine o’clock. Charlie, the waiter from the Philippines, already knows that we want two cappuccinos. Although he is from Manila, he gives us a few tips for Palawan for tomorrow. He is excited that we will be visiting the underground river. After breakfast we relax. We order coffee, read a book on our balcony, and I go for a quick workout in the gym. After noon we have lunch at the buffet on deck nine. The loungers on the outer deck are quite exposed to the wind, so I sit by the pool in the relaxing chairs. From time to time we order a drink. Meanwhile, the entertainment team starts some games at the edge of the pool. They manage to get a reasonable number of participants. Around half past six we get ready for dinner. Our table companions had already missed us yesterday; they understood that the excursions took longer. The restaurant was practically empty. We end the day with a drink on our balcony. Tomorrow the excursion starts early, so we go to bed on time.
