Australia - On board heading to Amsterdam

The new gate turned out to be in the other terminal. I quickly walked to the skytrain. With the little train, I arrived on the other side of the airport. From there, it was still a few minutes’ walk to the correct gate. Just as I arrived, boarding began. I immediately joined the queue. The flight from Singapore to Amsterdam lasts thirteen hours and fifty minutes. I am seated by the window. After the meal, I lean my little pillow against the outer wall and try to sleep. To my own surprise, I doze off for about an hour several times. The cabin lights turn on again when we enter Europe. Breakfast is served. At half past six Dutch time, I land back on Dutch soil. At the baggage claim, I say goodbye to most of my fellow travelers. Two companions had chosen a different return flight. I had already said goodbye to them earlier. With my travel bag, I board the train shortly afterward, heading home.
